· Summary
The role requires a strong background in analytical chemistry with a demonstrated ability in good lab techniques and some capability in data analysis. The hands-on assignment focuses on particle characterization related to product complaints, release of manufactured products, and new product development activities. FTIR microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and light microscopy are the primary tools for the analytical work. Strong communication skills are leveraged for written reports, customer interactions, and cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities. · Without assistance, make sound technical recommendations regarding projects/matters that are more routine than not. Provide some analysis/redesign of key experimental procedures. Independently select techniques and procedures to solve problems within area of responsibility. · Employ appropriate techniques/methods to successfully and independently execute routine assignments within negotiated deadlines. Identify existing alternative methods and technologies for improving existing or new products/processes. · Maintain knowledge of relevant QSR and safety requirements while building knowledge of other regulatory requirements related to R&D (product development, design and safety) to ensure compliance in all research, data collection and reporting activities. · As a good team player, share research outcomes, methodology and cycle-time reduction methods with team members and other divisional personnel.
