1.Ensurepropertemperatureofspecimensaremaintained
2.Ensuretimelyprocessingofkitsandrequisitions
3.Ensurealltestingrequestedisordered
4.EnsuretimelydeliveryofspecimenstotheLaboratory
5.Ensuretimelycommunicationwithdepartments/clientsconcerningprocessingproblems
6.Ensuresufficientdocumentationofallprocesses
SpecimenManagement
1.EnsurethatspecimensarepickedupfromLaboratoryPre-AnalyticalServices,sortedandpre-scannedintotheappropriatetemperaturebinsinatimelyfashion.
2.Responsibleforregistrationandprocessingofspecimensintocorrectstoragetemperature
3.Generationandapplicationofspecializedlabelstoincludeminilabelsandcomputergeneratedbarcodes.
4.Process,register,packageandshipsamplesrequiringspecialhandling
5.Researchandresolutionofproblemsamplesandcorrectroutingofthesespecimensmaintainingdocumentationduringtheprocess.
6.Accountableforaccuratelyidentifyingspecimensthatneedtobediscardedandcompletingthediscardprocess
7.Performdomesticand/orin-houseshippingprocedures.
8.Maintaininventoryrecordsforitemsusedindailyworkflow.
9.Consolidateandmovedrawersasspecifiedtoeffectivelyutilizefreezerspace.
10.FreezermaintenanceGeneralresponsibilities
Generalresponsibilities
FollowSOPstoguaranteecompliance,uniformity,andstandardizationofmethods
Incumbentisresponsibleformaintainingtheircompleteup-to-datetrainingfile.
