JOB PURPOSE: Medical Liaison Manager is to supervise and manage a medical liaison team in specific region. The position is to lead and work with the responsible Medical Liaison team members to meet the needs of internal and external customers in specific region for balanced and up to date information for optimal patients treatment. SUPERVISED RESOURCES: (Sales, budget, headcount…) Medical Liaisons KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Supervising the medical liaison team in responsible region and ensure that all medical and clinical matters are dealt with and handled in the most professional and appropriate manner and are in strict adherence to the Group's policies, guidelines and periodical medical strategies. Developing and fostering excellent professional relationships with KOLs and HCPs in the responsible territory. Serve as key company liaison in the field to KOLs to enhance scientific collaboration in clinical research, medical education, publication, etc. Leading and working with the medical liaison team collaborating closely with the regional Medpharm BU colleagues, giving advice on the strategic and tactical regional based medical strategies, ensuring involvement and awareness of regional marketing and sales team. Providing scientific training and relevant answers to Marketing and Sales personnels regarding sanofi products and relevant disease and its therapeutic areas. Participating in sanofi China sponsored national or regional conference, providing advice on scientific contents, communicating medical information with speakers or chairmen, answering questions on sanofi products with unbiased attitude. According to task allocation, leading specific key medical projects which are initiated or executed by medical liaison team to ensure the projects accomplished smoothly and effectively. Developing scientific communication materials (e.g. scientific slides kit in specific disease field, congress debrief, etc.) for medical liaisons usage following the review process in medical liaisons’ guideline. Supporting company sponsored and investigator sponsored clinical trials by facilitating trial related request in the field. Management and administrative: medical liaison team coordination and motivation, recruitment, education and career planning, budget management, reporting and coordination with head office medical organization. Ensure all activities of responsible team members are in strict compliance with local regulations, company policies and guidelines, including but not limited to Sanofi Code of Conduct, Good Promotional Practice Guidelines and Medical Liaison Guidelines. JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Education: MD or pharmacist, Ph. D. is preferred Experience & knowledge: · At least 5 year clinical practice, preferably in clinical antibiotic · Industry experience in medical affairs, clinical development or clinical operation is preferred People management experience is desirable Core competencies: Solid medical and scientific knowledge in relevant disease field Excellent information analytical skills and presentation skills Very good communication and influencing skills Good team building and coaching skills to junior medical liaison Able to work independently in the region and manage time, resource and workload under moderate travel frequency Able to collaborate and establish partnership with internal (medical managers, business unit) and external key stakeholders (KOLs, payors) Fluent in both written and spoken English and good PC skill.
