Department OverviewUnited Family Hospitals & Clinics is a pioneering, international standard healthcare organization in China, our sole mission is to provide comprehensive, integrated healthcare services in a uniquely warm and caring patient and family service-oriented environment.Job DescriptionDispensing medication to patients and providing information about medication to patients and hospital staff, performing clinical pharmacy projects.Responsibilities1. Reviews and interprets prescription orders and verifies accuracy and completeness of patient labeling and input into pharmacy computer.2. Evaluates and resolves real or potential prescription related problems.3. Provides patient consultation on prescription and OTC medications.4. Establish a pharmaceutical care practice in conjunction with physicians and other care providers.5. Reviews inpatient orders and screens them for possible duplications, interactions.6. Dispense medication to in-house patients7. Actively participates in clinical pharmacy projects8. Provides guidance and supervision for junior pharmacists and pharmacist trainees. Other Duties Performed-9. Ordering inventory and doing periodic inventory check.10. Checking for expired medications.11. Performing monthly narcotic inventory.12. Completing a monthly invoice for various drug suppliers.13. Take part in evening and weekend shifts. Participate in night on-calls if needed.14. Compounding products for our department stock.Requirements1. Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy2. 10 years work experience in a pharmacy (community or hospital) setting or 3 years work experience in international clinic setting3. Registered Pharmacist License preferred4. Be able to perform the above duties independently.5. Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.6. Provide supervision and training to junior pharmacist.7. Knowledge of government laws pertaining to drugs, narcotics and pharmacy practice.8. Knowledge of drug information in English and Chinese and familiar with drug reference books in work place.
